2021 procedures and processes
- We've introduced a raft of new measures since we reopened in 2020 and again in 2021. The following guidance has been designed to offer a shot summary for those looking to book safely this summer.
Normal booking procedures apply
- We've updated some questions on our online booking form to ensure we have all the necessary info for safe booking.. this includes questions on who the booking will be for and where the location of the hire is. Broadly speaking, we have updated this to ensure our hires are in line with the most recent Tier 4 guidance which can be found HERE.
Who can and cannot hire safely
- The Scottish Government guidance released on12 March, at Level 4, allows outdoor organised activities which will now include all children and young people (up to age 18) where there are no more than 2 adults at any one time and the overall group size, including facilitators, is no more than 15. Therefore, small garden parties for children up to 15 are fine. We do not recommend hires where there are several adults and or where the group numbers will be over 18. Therefore, hires aimed at large events and or gatherings will be reviewed and suspended.
Update to terms and conditions
- We have removed our deposit request for all bookings so that hires which do not go ahead due to COVID 19 restrictions being re-implemented will not have to wait for deposit refunds.
- We have now also implemented a booking review service. Unfortunately, this means we have to review every booking request to ensure they are sensible and within government guidelines. Don't worry - this doesn't mean we won't do your hire, unless you are breeching the above advice.
